Missold Endowment

I have just been approached by Emcas regarding missold endowment they say they can claim back compensation and take a 38% fee is this right or could someone please give us advice on where to claim with out paying such a large fee thanks

    What they are saying is that they will put a complaint in for you and if your complaint is successful, they will take 38% plus 20% VAT (its a vatable service) of anything you are paid.

    There is no automatic right to compensation. Most endowments were not mis-sold. Only a minority, albeit significant, got paid out redress.

    Most endowments are now timebarred from complaint. Is yours? You get 3 years from first being notified of a high risk of a shortfall. Most endowments were timebarred under that basis between 2001 and 2008.

    This firm also has a reputation you may wish to consider. I suggest you do a search.

    And they will probably want an up front fee to to set the bal rolling,
    and when they do what they say they will do, then fail, they keep your upfront fee. They are in a win win situation.

    I wouldnt touch them with a bargepole.
