Free PC games (some pretty good)

I've just been trying out some of the games at GameTop.

So far I have tried:
Battle for the Caribbean - very good, simple 3D (ish) game. Note you can shoot cannon balls out the air - something it took me a long time to realise.
KGB Hunter - a not very good Spy Hunter clone.
Crusader Tank - simple scrolling 2D tank game. Limited but enjoyable. You can play this one without downloading anything.

Lots of others on there, many of which look very good. I like the Air Assault screen shots, I'll probably try that one next.

There are no ads in the games, and no spyware or viruses that I'm aware of. Their revenue seems to be just from large numbers of ads on the web site.

Well worth a look IMO.

Just clicked looks like a good games site, however

the Mcafee Siteadvisor immediately went to red.

This means this site should be treated with caution due to its links to justfreegames.com, a known provider of adware, spam and 'unwanted prorams'

A link I got from here ages ago was giveawayoftheday.com, one I use quite regularly now. They also have a free games section

    http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/

    these are adware/spyware free etc
note, these are pretty basic, small sized games, but there has been some good releases

    Shopping Tips
Don't spend five pounds to dry clean a shirt. Donate it to the charity shop instead. They'll clean it and put it on a hanger. Next morning buy it back for two pounds.
