Beadieye

I was contacted the other day by the company called beadieye saying that I may have been miss sold my mortgage as it was with future mortgage and was taken out in September 2005.
I had all the paper work through today saying they are more than happy to help me with this, a small cost of 25% plus vat of any recovered monies!
When I was sold this product via a broker (armchair finance) who are no longer trading as far as I know I was advised this was the only product available to us as it was the only company that would give us 100% mortgage and other high street lenders would not consider us as we had below average credit score at the time.
Now do the people out there think I would have a valid claim of being miss sold this mortgage and if so how would I go about this without using a company that would be more than happy to help for a small fee of 25% plus vat!?!

Most of these money claim companies are scam artists - avoid. You'll probably be charged an up-front non-refundable fee.
What makes you think you were mis-sold? You wanted a 100% mortgage despite your bad credit, and you got a 100% mortgage despite your bad credit. Where's the mis-selling?poppy100 -
There is no up front fee, just the percentage they take if anything is claimed.
I was never given any other options and was only told that other companies prob wouldnt give me anything.0 -
That's what they say now. But you will be asked to pay a "deposit" or insurance fee or some such.malamutesamoyed wrote: »There is no up front fee, just the percentage they take if anything is claimed..
If you want to get scammed then go ahead.poppy100 -
If you have a legitimate case that you were sold something inappropriate, you can raise a complaint yourself and not have to give away 25% or more of the money you are awarded.
There are many people on here who will help, free of charge. Claims/Complaint handlers are a complete waste of time and money and many take an upfront fee and then do nothing.I am a mortgage broker. So marks to beadieye employees for being able to google and follow the MSE signup procedure. Not even a bronze for phrasing a realistic email in praise of them however. What say we never hear from these 2 first time posters again?0 -
I'm impressed - website not even online ('under development') and already a host of grateful customers queuing to sing their praises !!!
Trading name of http://www.carehomeclaims.co.uk/ apparently - great background for advising on mortgages BUT a bit further investigation shows ....
http://www.legal-eye.co.uk/ who "work with law firms to ensure compliance and optimise performance. Our extensive and thorough knowledge of the law and regulations will ensure your law firm is compliant and your processes sound. Files are audited to ensure you are not only complying with the service level agreements you have in place, but very importantly, also the code of conduct. We provide a documented audit trail which is firstly, a requirement of the code of conduct and secondly, essential for PI Insurance purposes."
Part time poachers and part time gamekeepers - aware that the 'audit trail' is more important than the actual quality of the advice.
They will therefore continue to encourage anybody they can lay their hands on (however the contact and skinny past details of their mortgage history is obtained) to lob in 'a complaint' knowing that the individual broker or his/her inheritants will be required to pick up the tab (£500 a pop even if completely innocent) for the process.
I have no time for cheating/irresponsible/incompetant advisers BUT frankly I view them as no wose than the irresponsible claims companies that continue their practices built on "throw enough !!!! and some of it will stick" business models, while expecting innocent parties pick up the tab.
The OP is typical of the pretty much innocent party, who was apparently not aware of or looking for compensation for his mortgage which appears (on the information given so far) to have been emminently reasonable - but now feels there is a 'pot of gold' which someone else will pay for.
This nonsense has to stop !!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
