    That does read rather badly. What I was thinking is that diabetics, for example, get free prescriptions but asthmatics don't - both are life threatening so why should an asthmatic subsidise a diabetic, if you get my drift. Its the same sort of argument.
    edit: I've also been thinking that you could argue that the NHS supports those with health problems caused by obesity and those of us who have relatively healthy lifestyles are subsidising them. If I subsidise their choice, why is it so wrong to want them to give me a small bit of subsidy in my choices?

    Me neither, but it is still wrong that a single person with children gets support with childcare or a council tax etc but not the unworking married, childcarer.
