How to remove dress creases before the wedding?

For those of you who have/are buying their dress early/online how will you remove the creases?
Mine is quite creased and is being kept in a box until closer to the time next year and I have started wondering how to remove the creases.
Do you iron it with a towel or white cloth over it? If you iron it how do you do it when it has a large train to stop the ironed part creasing?
Do you use a steamer? If so is there a particular way to do it?
Is there somewhere that irons them for a charge? if so how do I find one?
I did ask my local dry cleaner but they only dry clean them which would remove the creases but it seems a little expensive since I will be getting it dry cleaned after the wedding.

Or hang it in a steamy bathroom a few times.Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

I have heard that you can just hang it in a bathroom too.:T0

Rather than keeping it in a box, you would be better to hang it up under a clean duvet cover somewhere your OH won't see it (maybe at a friend's / mum's / sister's house?). Between now & the wedding the creases will gently drop out.0

At the moment it's in a box under the spare bed at my mum's as there's no where else to keep it long term as all the rooms are used and slightly crowded so it couldn't be hung out of the way.
The intention is to hang it in the back room a couple of months before the wedding but it wouldn't be suitable as a long term solution as that is where my daughters toys etc are kept and they would have to be re-homed somewhere else temporarily.
I think I'll give the bathroom a go closer to the date and then possibly explore other options if it doesn't work. I'll just have to slowly and snakily reduce the number of toys in the back room to reduce the amount of rehoming hopefully meaning it can go in there sooner.0 -

I've heard from quite a few people that hanging your dress in a steamy bathroom works... I have bridesmaid dresses to try it out on before I try my dress!Married my wonderful husband on 8/9/12 :j0
