Slow cooker virgin

Hello experts, please be gentle, it's my first time :A
My new slow cooker is on in the kitchen, with goulash. Smells fab. It's been on since 9.30, I chose today to try it out as I'm off work, in case it burned the house down (worry, me??).
The goulash is bubbling round the edges, is that ok? It's on LOW.

Thankyou both. I've stirred it, but shouldn't have really, I suppose, because when I'm out at work, I wont be able to. I'm leaving it alone now!

Lol it's what's put me off for years, then I've seen so so many on here usng them, and haven't seen "MSE burns house down with slow cooker" on the news, so thought it can't be too bad!******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

Update.
Well it's been in for 6 and a half hours (should be 7 - 9) and it's not burned, but is sticking a bit at the bottom and the edges. What have I done wrong?
And I followed the recipe for the 4.5l pot, and it's not even half full. Is that right?******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

If I left my slow cooker on all day and it DID burn the house down - would my insurance pay out? Genuine question.
Re: sticking at the bottom, add a teensy bit of boiling water, give it a good stir (some peeps might not agree) and turn it down to keep warm if this is an option0
