Marmite - cheapest 3kg tub

I'm feeding it to my horse (good for preventing itchiness/midge bites apparently) and we went through the smallest size jar that Tesco do in about 10 days. A 500g jar of Marmite is just short of £5 so it's going to start getting expensive, especially as he goes absolutely mad for it.
I've found a 3kg tub on ebay which would be £15 plus £6 postage. Does anybody know where I might be able to get one cheaper? Mom has a Costco card if they might carry it.

Unfortunately, the Waitrose 342 on all spreads promotion has just finished - that would have cost just under £20 for 6x500g jars.
I think Tesco & Sainsbury sometimes have these promotions too - no good for you at the moment, but maybe something to bear in mind for another time?
Have you tried the supermarket's own substitutions for Marmite? I know Sainsbury do one, not sure of elsewhere. They're obviously less expensive but your ebay price looks very good - might be difficult to beat unless Marmite on offer somewhere.0 -
homebargins have vegemite 200g jars 49p. can you use that instead and save a lot of money:rotfl: given up on tesco do a lot os boots offers. but weekends are now in orange trackside b. lol

Not sure if you tried to add garlic granules to your horse's hardfeed which you can buy in bags from most equine shops...much cheaper then marmite and very affective against midges etc0 -
I would try Costco and see what they have.0

I don't know if your horse still goes mad for Marmite, but Asda's regular price for 500g Jar is £3.90. So to buy 6x500g (3kg equivalent) would cost £23.40, but that has the added advantage of buying any amount, any time - plus you don't have such a large outlay.0
