Tesco welch on Home Insulation Clubcard points

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but after getting the email about Home Insulation Offers from the website, I called Tesco, went through the process, checked I was eligible being on the right benefits and eventually had someone come round to check the property and arrange a date for cavity wall insulation.
It took a couple of months but was eventually completed, minimum of fuss and all seemed well.
Kept an eye out for my 5000 clubcard points - nada!
Phoned Tesco to ask when they would be added and had to give all my details again because they said I didn't qualify, but when I went through it again with them, they agreed that I should and the points would be added.
6 weeks later - nada!
Phoned again being given a huge run around the various departments, gave all the details again, promised they would phone back to let me know what was going on - NADA!!!
I chose Tesco because I thought it would be nice to have the clubcard points being on pension credit and not a lot else - I didn't expect to be led up the garden path and then have them welch on the agreement.
If I didn't qualify, why say I did when I first applied - unless of course it was a cynical and unfair abuse of a customer so they get the numbers on their system???
Shameful treatment and a real rip-off.

How much did you pay for the insulation?British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0

Hi - I didn't pay anything because I qualified for free insulation under the govt initiative, and qualified under Tesco's own T&Cs.0

How is it SHAMEFUL TREATMENT AND A REAL RIP-OFF? The points will be a bonus.
The fault probably lies with Enact Energy Renewables Limited, as the offer is managed by them and not Tesco. You should contact Enact and see what they say. If they haven't told Tesco that the work has been completed, then they aren't likely to give you the points.
The offer doesn't finish until 31st May, so it is also possible that the points will not be awarded until then anyway.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

8. The points will only be awarded following completion of the install of the insulation measure.
so that could be any time0 -
Well, it was a rip-off because the points were not a bonus, they were part of the offer to encourage people to go through Tesco. It was used as a means of enticing people to use them - so they should honour their offer.
I could have gone through another provider with the same outcome or even one with a better incentive offer.
It is Tesco who award the clubcard points and is nothing to do with anyone else. It is Tesco who have tried to get out of giving the points after completion. I don't have a contract with Enact and have never dealt with them.
The work was completed as I said in my first post - so that is not the reason.
Never mind - I've read too many responses on other threads to realise now that posting here was a big mistake.0 -

I couldn't agree with you more and certainly hope you receive them sometime soon.
I wonder how many people took out mobile phone contracts with the incentive of a free Xbox or PS2 etc? They would soon be on the phone if it didn't arrive! A bonus? No, part and parcel of the deal and should be honoured, not matter what the circumstances are.16 x 250W JA Solar Panels (JAM6-60-250) : Fronius IG TL 3.6 Inverter : South Facing : 28 Degree Pitch : No Shading : Manchester M460 -

Read the T&Cs and reconsider what you posted above.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0
