I've had my Halifax current account for about 18 years....think they called it the MAXIM account when I got it.
Does anyone know what credit agency it reports to ?
I've just had my printout from equifax and it's not on there...
Also I don't get any offers from the online service regarding credit cards etc..
Any help

They report to all 3 agencies, but yours probably won't show because its such an old account. Accounts opened before 2000, generally weren't reported to CRAsDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0

So is this a good thing ?
I'll assume they must have credit checked me at some stage as I have a 500 pounds overdraft.
Was considering switching to the reward account and get a fiver a month credit...

Depends really, because if apply for credit elsewhere, it will look like you don't have a bank account, as its not on your credit files, although on the other hand, being a longstanding customer of Halifax, would mean that your internal credit score with them should be pretty good. The Reward account is a good account, I have one myself, and if you give them a ring, they should be able to change your existing account, without you having to apply for a new one.Debt free and staying that way! :beer:0

Would they transfer the account with no issues...
I.e. account number and sort code remain the same so that direct debits aren't affected,..and salary credit
Also debit card etc....and overdraft
