Which treacle and yeast for a breadmaker?

I have ordered myself a breadmaker (panasonic 253) and I want to get the ingredients today so I can make my first loaf of bread as soon as it arrives.
I've found an online manual to get the ingredients I need. And just been on sainsburystoyou to have a nose at them.
Is the treacle required for wholemeal bread Black treacle?
I couldn't even find any milk powder on the website. Is this a straight forward ingredient to find?
And can someone clarify the type of yeast that's needed? Or should it say on the packet that it's suitable for breadmakers?

Hi helping_hubby,
Milk powder is available in most supermarkets. Marvel is the well known brand but Asda and Tesco do their own brands at about half the price.
The yeast you'll need for a breadmaker is Fast action dried yeast. Hovis do this but again I use Tesco own brand because it's cheaper and does exactly the same job.
I've never used treacle in breadmaking so sorry I can't help with that one.

Thank you very much for that.
Anyone know about the treacle?0 -
It will probably be just ordinary black treacle (the stuff in the red tin) not golden syrup (green tin). I'm assuming it's just a couple of teaspoonfulls to give the loaf a bit of flavour and colour? If it is, and you don't like the taste of treacle, you could substitute malt extract for it.0

Don't know which online manual you are using but the Panasonic's manual does not use treacle for wholemeal bread (in fact it only uses treacle for parkin and gingerbread) To make most loaves you'll need white flour, wholemeal flour, salt, sugar, butter (but I use oil) and milk powder - which most of us would call dried milk.
Somewhere on this site there is a Panasonic manual - I downloaded it from someone's post when I lost my own manual. Can't find the post now but if you PM me I can e-mail you the manual.

I have the panasonic and don't add treacle, to be honest I don't put dried milk in either.
I do need a new blade though, does anyone know how I go about getting one, I can't find the helpline number.

Bit pricy - but there is one here http://www.spares2go.co.uk/browse/PANASONIC/SD253/KNEADING_PADDLE/m153/p7792/s9717.htm
Or try the Panasonic Customer Care Centre 08705 357357 (can't find an 0800 number)
