Which luggage is the strongest??

I like the Samsonite Spinners. I am slowly replacing my different sizes with the Spinners when I travel to the US. Macy's in the US often has sales, white flower days or something, if you can catch one of those you can get a percentage off. Or if you attend a business convention, some of the hotels will give you a percentage coupon off for on midtown businesses which may include Macys. Just don't fly BA, as they will charge you an enormous amount of money for a second suitcase. The spinners are a joy to push and pull when you walk, they go in all directions.0

Hardbodied Samsonite cases. £65 or £59 without long handle ,delivered. They have a combination lock as well. Very good service had 2 from them. This is a good price, they are not fancy cases but very tough.

I've had my Antler cases for over 5 years, and they have been all over the world with me - and I travel a lot. They aren't hardshell ones, they are waterproof material ones, mine are from the liteweight range, they also expand so i can crame more junk..ermm souvenirs from my trips into them and i think they come with a 7 year guarantee.

THERE REALLY IS NO OTHER CHOICE.
Ditto but, these days the case can look shabby after one trip  none of them are scratch/smudgeproof! I hate to see my luggage being loaded

Only to say that the baggage handlers once managed to break the shell of a Samsonite case I had, so they are not indestructible.
As others have mentioned a problem with hardshell cases like Samsonite is the weight. It is very easy to overload the case, by jaming in that one last thing that you might (but actually don't) need.0 -
Just a quick note to say that we have been looking for some good cases recently for upcoming holidays. Have seen lots of cheap but pretty rubbish/flimsy looking cases.
Really wanted to find some Samsonite/Antler cases but decided against the high priced Samsonite Spinner cases as I side with the post above that no luggage is handler proof.
In the end we went for the Antler Venice series which we found half price in Tripp - they run the luggage departments in Debenhams stores and can also buy online at http://www.tripp.co.uk/products.cfm/collection/124,21
I think these are really good value - they are soft sided but have a kinda lightweight hard shell running round the centre section, seem pretty sturdy and good quality materials etc. Definitely worth a look. I think they are only half price because they are no longer a current collection.

For those that are interested in Antler cases, the cases in Matalan are made by Antler with Matalan's own brand name on the case.0

If this is the case then they are not up to the usual Antler standard. I travelled with a lady who had bought her case from Matalan.
The shell shattered! The customer service people said it wasn't the first they had seen either.
Looks like you do need to spend a bit of money to get something decent xGone ... or have I?0
