Are there any mac compers about??

Hi - nothing won this week but I hope no one minds me posting this on here.

Im wanting to buy an imac but would like to know is there a robo form or anything else like it for the mac that anyone could recommend?

Also is there and disadvantages to comping on a mac?

Thanks in advance

I've just moved from PC to Mac after having won a MacBook Air in a comp. Yes there is RoboForm for Mac (slightly different to the PC version, but it does the job) and I've got it associated with the default Safari browser. I'm still on the 30 day free trial but expect I'll have to pay for it after that (£19.99 I think) or lose functionality.

I've not found any differences comping once you get used to the differences between pc & mac (still getting used to the @ sign on the number 2 key!)

  • I use Firefox on my mac which has an autofill add-on. I find it much easier to use than when I had roboform on my old laptop.

My macbook was a comp prize over 4 years ago and it's still going strong! I'd never go back to a windows pc now :)

I comp on my Mac :)

I use roboform and there's also "lastpass" which does the same job!

No disadvantages in my experience. Having said that i've only ever comped on a mac, so someone who has comped on both may have a different answer.

Roboform does act up sometimes in safari. I probably need to uninstall and install again, but i'm just lazy lol.

I comp on a mac and have never had any problems so no disadvantages that I can see. Go for it and buy one, you'll not regret it :-)

Major advantage is that you are less likely to have to worry about suffering from a virus if we inadvertently give our details to a dubious competition. You'll still get the dodgy email, but it is less likely to do anything.

Hi im a Mac comper too, and use 1 password, my husband set it up for me on the free trial I think, but It stayed and I have been usng it fine for about 2 years now. I much prefer using an iMac and wouldn't change to a pc for anything. I think you will be fine, and like chunkychocky says hardly any chance of getting a virus.

Lots of luck to you x

I comp on a mac (a competition win) and I use LastPass as a form filler - I prefer it to Roboform/1password and think it is a better product. https://lastpass.com/ (works on most platforms)
I love my mac and won't go back to Windows unless I have to!
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j

I comp on a mac too and I use google chrome. It has an autofill and password recall facility in it - works just as well as roboform (which I used to have) but its free! You will love the mac - I would never go back after making the switch! :money:
