Help needed in understanding the approval process

Can anyone tell me if this (2) late payments showing from April/May last year would of likely flagged up with the full credit check we did over the phone with HSBC, and became an issue then? As the conversation went he seemed happy.

I used checkmyfile.com last night and they show equifax and callcredit. I did notice as well that on the searches nothing had been done since January, so no HSBC search??

I feel sick with worry waiting for them to call.
