Well I must say that I have had a really lovely day today, went round my friends with the kids and they all went of and played and we sat and drank tea and had a really good gossip which has done me the power of good
We also had lunch at my friends and she gave me a load of potato's has she was in-undated with them so that was good.
On the spending side today I have spent NOTHING
I have also been cheered up as there are a group of us that do a weekend away once or twice a year and we have booked for November, I really love the Murder Mystery weekends and I have done 8 events with this company and they are FANTASTIC so really, really looking forward to it, I will have to save £5 but that will cover my whole weekend
Roll on November :rotfl:
I will however tonight be going over my bank statements and making a list and doing a letter to see if I can reclaim any of my bank charges......Total Debt - 09/04/2012 = £43,030 !!!:eek:
CC1 = £4370 CC2 = £2005 CC3 = £8220 CC4 = £6780
CC4 = £7905 CC5 = £11,350
O/D 1 = £1100 O/D 2 = £1300:eek:0 -
Well I have got up this morning and I cant be bothered, I feel really rubbish as I have not been sleeping, really need to try and do something today as the house needs a tidy and I have loads of ironing and washing but I am finding it really hard to get going........:(
I think I might do the food shopping today but just do it for 1 week instead of the 4 weeks as I intended.Total Debt - 09/04/2012 = £43,030 !!!:eek:

Right well after a bad start this morning I have ended up doing the shopping for the next 4 weeks , I think I was just a bit scared spending out so much in one go on groceries!!! I think it will work out cheaper in the long run though.
I have also gone through all bank statements for the last 6yrs and printed of a sheet including interest so I am off to my friend tonight and we shall do a letter so we shall see if I can get anything back from the bank !!! The total bank charges including the interest comes to £3401.13 and to be honest if I can get just a little bit back that would help

Well I had a lovely surprise this morning, my daughter who is 8yrs entered a poetry comp at school and this morning we had a letter to say that her poem is one of the ones picked to go in the book in July this year sooo I was a very proud Mummy

I also had a good night last night round at my friends going though stuff and writing the letter to send to the bank to try and claim some of my bank charges back, I am now also going to request charges on account of the credit cards which we have so more letter writing....!!:)
I have another headache today but at least I am now beginning to sort things out and hubby is coming more and more on board which is good.
So tonight I will be going through all the ingredients that I need for a cake & sweet stall that I am doing in my local village in 2 weeks and then tomorrow of to collect my monthly shop from Tesco's as the click and collect is free until tomorrow so at least that has saved me £3.50 in delivery charge and as I have a voucher for £5 of a £40 spend in-store I shall go in armed with an exact list just for cake & sweet stuff that I need so all good
On the down side I remembered today that my cars MOT runs out this month so need to book that in next week, I really dont think that it will past its MOT and hubby and I have already decided that if it is going to cost to much to repair if it dosnt pass then it will have to go!!!Total Debt - 09/04/2012 = £43,030 !!!:eek:

Right well had a good day today so far, hubby had a gig last night and got paid in cash which is great as it means that we dont have to wait weeks for the money !!! Also he got paid £100 extra , some off which is for me as I do the booking for the band , so most of the cash will be going in the bank on Tuesday but at least I was able to get all the ingredients for the cakes and sweets I will be making for a pamper evening on 27th April as I am having a stall at the event so should come back with extra money as well....
Picked up our grociery shooping for the next 4 weeks and it only just fitted in the car and that included the kids be buried under shopping in the back but they thought it was quite funny
Also looking at our pots which are labeled for the week , we do have some extra over from last week so I need to sort this out and then off to the bank Tuesday I have also been collecting the loose change that I find in the house and car so I am gonna bag that up and pay that in as well. I must say that I am very proud of me and my family this week as we have done really well it has been tough but we will get there...
If any body has any other tips or hints then that would be great:)Total Debt - 09/04/2012 = £43,030 !!!:eek:

hi fizzy, just caught up on your diary, other than the grocery (which you look like you are already trying to tackle) and the petrol (which is horrendously high for anyone anyway) i can't see many other areas you could cut back...maybe the mobile but depends on how many phones that is for.
When i first started on my debt free journey i found it really helpful to (will just list them)
*keep a daily spend diary and write everything in it no matter how small
* check online bank daily
*take out cash every week and not use debit cards
*cut up credit cards, cancel any overdrafts that weren't maxed out so i couldn't get even worse in debt
*meal plan ( i did this for one or two weeks at a time as couldn't get the hang of one month to begin with seemed too daunting lol so well done you)
*join the grocery challenge on the os boards
*join in with the NSD challenge
*make small goals to aim for
I hope your
has turned to a
by the time you come back x 0 -
Thanks for that guys....:) I was beginning to feel like I was writing to myself !!!!
We did last week and again this week got cash out for petrol,shopping extras,kids pocket money and mine and hubbys pocket money....
So our first week we only spent our PM and both had a couple of quid left each which was good, the cash which is £25 a week for shopping extras we had £10 left over so that is in the overs pot to go back into the back and I didnt need any petrol in my car so another £10 to go back into the bank as for the other petrol it is hubby as he drives 45mins to work and then 45mins back from work 5 days a week but last week he only spent £40 in petrol so that is another £10 back in the bank which is all good.
As for the cards we have written to all bar 1 and asked if we can reduce payment and freeze the interest one card has come back with a yes to this so just waiting for the next letter with the reduced payment plan still waiting to hear from the other cards but hopefully will hear something in the week.
Also all card debit and credit are in a pot in a drawer so that they are not used.
Its been a really tough week but I think that I am starting to feel better and hopefully I will start to sleep better shortly !!!!!Total Debt - 09/04/2012 = £43,030 !!!:eek:
