2 x Fairy Original 650ml for 50p at Sainsburys using coupons

Options
Hi there,

This is my first post on the Bargain buys, so hope i've done it right :)

At Sainsburys at the moment they have an offer for 2 x 650ml Original washing up liquids for £2.50.

On supersavyme, they have coupon's for £1 off fairy original liquid 650ml, you are able to print 2 of these so at the checkout I handed them both in.

Therefore making the 2 bottles 25p each, even if you only want to hand one of the coupon's in its still making them £1.50 for 2 which isn't bad for the big bottles.

Do hope that helps someone get a bargain.

Are you able to use two in one transaction? I know that in the past the self service tills at least will not let me use two of the same voucher :( (please someone tell me I am wrong and the rules have changed!)

    Hi,

Think you are probably right about self scanners, but I scanned the first one and it went through ok, so popped that in the coupon slot and when the other didn't work I handed it to the cashier person doing the self tills and he deducted it manually.

We don't tend to get to many trouts on the self checkout tills at our Sainsburys as they are mostly young staff, so may still be worth a try.

I must just be unlucky! I have many trout at the Sainsburys near me, one shouted at me when I took the till-spit things another customer had abandoned (apparently 'illegal and can get you banned from the store'- scary!) another likes to stand just behind me if I buy Pink Lady apples I'm guessing to make sure I put the correct item in, fine but I have never once frauded items by typing in the wrong item being weighed and also I always buy a Pink Lady apple every time I shop there!

I need to change the store maybe!

My Sainsburys have decided they wont accept a coupon with any other offer.....full price items only.

And yes, I am in ongoing email talks with CS to try and fathom the validity of that!!

I think you can use 2 as you are buying 2 bottles (offer is 2 x 650ml Original washing up liquids for £2.50). I tend to use the self scan or regular manned till rather than self service in Sainsburys and I am sure they have accepted more than one of the same coupon before, providing I have not used more than one coupon per item, think this is the same on other supermarkets too. Hope this makes sense!

I had it before when I had two MOCs for £1 off different products and the latter one, my colleague had to it manually. They both came from the same source (the Catalina voucher printer machine, next to the receipt printer).

But I had two of the same vouchers (200 points if I spend £4 on meat) and spent £10 on the 3 for £10 deal. Both vouchers were accepted
