Hi, I've been reading this forum looking for suggestions on sending my laptop to England - I reckon the weight will be about 3Kg & the size 40x30x10cm when packed up. Value is about £300. I have come up with Parcel Force at about £17.

Any suggestions?

around £7 should take it if you use https://www.myhermes.co.uk/wps/portal/PN_CTR/

it will be slower but they collect from you. I`ve used them with Laptops, sky boxes etc

Thanks for that. Prices are v. good, but no insurane (laptops etc. specifically excl) and no real delivery time promise. Any other couriers?

  • I use parcel force quite a lot. They collect from your door and supply the paperwork. You have the option to add additioal insurance too. They would be your best bet.

Thanks - looking like parcelforce would be the best insured bet. Hmm, to risk it uninsured? The insurance is steep - I think £200 was £1 but £300 was near a fiver (both plus vat) - when you consider that £100 is included, the 1st additional £100 is costing £1, but the next £100 costs £4!
