PDUK recording inacurate information on credit file help please??

Hi all, I'm guessing this is the right place to list this question, please redirect me if I'm in the wrong place.
On 7/2/12 I applied to PDUK for a £200 loan. I was accepted but after several hours I phoned them as it had not gone in my bank.
They said it had bounced back (I must of given them a wrong digit from my card or they have made a mistake) so they reprocessed the loan again with the correct details.
The next day I noticed they had put in £300 into my account which was far too much (don't want to fall into there interest trap). So I phoned them and they advised I couldn't just give them £100 back they would have to take the full amount back then rearrange a new loan which was abit annoying but ok. It was paid into my account with no further issues.
The trouble is that they have now put three actuall loan applications on my credit file (not searches) in two days which has had a massive impact on my credit score/worthyness.
I spoke with PDUK about removing the first two loans from my credit file and was told an abrupt no as it was accurate so it's staying.
I then phones FOS, explained exactly what had happened and they opened a complaint, sent a letter to PDUK and me and told me if I was not happy with the response to get back in touch with themselves.
When I phoned PDUK to check they had got my payment ok and the account was fully settled I had to be passed through to some back of house team to be dealt with as I had made a complaint with them. I explains my story to the guy who couldn't believe that it has had to go this far and that it wasn't sorted out but he couldn't comment on the outcome dut to the investigation being ongoing.
So what do you think, does it sound like the loan I never got and the loan I sent back ASAP due to them sending me to much money by mistake should be removed? And what should I do next?
Any advice would be appreciated please, and sorry for the long post on what in reality is a not a serious problem.

I think they should be removed because it was their error. You applied for one loan, not 3!
Not sure what can be done next though... how long ago did FOS write to PDUK? Have you written to PDUK yourself?..0 -
What is showing as settled on your credit file now?
And what is the status of the two "other" loans ?
TBH, you kind of shot your credit "worthyness (sic)" in flames even going for a Payday loan as it shows future lenders you are living beyond your means, could you not have agreed an overdraft with your bank?0 -
Thanks for the replies, I lodged the complaint with the FOS in the middle of last month so just going to wait for a couple more weeks and if I hear nothing will write to PDUK and copy a letter to the FOS.
On my credit file it says the first one was taken out on the 7th feb and settled on 7th feb, the second was taken out on the 7th feb and settled on the 8th feb (when I realised and sent it back and the correct one was started on the 8th feb and paid off in full on the 29th feb. it doesn't say settled but will at the end of the month when it's updated.
The reason I went for a payday loan is that I have poor credit, ive gone from having 12 defaults (yes I know I was young and stupid) and now I have 2 which will be off at the end of next year (can't wait) so I was getting a small loan and paying it straight off as I thought I was building my credit up.
I have since been informed that I'm not as they don't last long enough to show consistency so I'm not getting any more. I have applied for a Vanquis credit card at an obscene APR but will buy small and pay offin full and on time now that I have that luxury.
I was thinking about writing to them demanding restitution for the time and effort that I've had to put into this, the stress caused and the smear to my personal credit worthiness.

Although your credit record shows what actually happened, as PDUK were at fault then you should get the first two entries scrubbed.
I wouldn't demand restitution to the degree you are stating, correction and a small compensation (£50?) would be my request.
Make sure you pay that Vanquis card off each month, you seem to have a level head just keep it there0 -
Cheers for the help, I hope I'll have a reply pretty quick after the Easter holidays are over so I will keep you informed. My score with credit expert was 844 before this fiasco and it dropped to 620 so I'm hoping it will shoot back up somewhere near that when this is all over.
