Kitchen and Bathrooms - Ayrshire/Glasgow

I've had a look about and noticed a vast difference in price for like for like stuff. B&Q or Homebase have bathrooms and kitchens for sale that are quite cheap but the quality is "iffy" and the fitting charges excessive. I also looked at 3 Ayrshire based home improvements companies. Ashgrove, Pryde & Sons and Aable Ltd. Ashgrove were well recommended by a friend but were around £2000 dearer than the other 2, so we took on Aable to fit our new bathroom as they didn't need a deposit. In short a very good job and I'm pleased with the all round value for money. So whoever you try consider the smaller companies.0

Mackie's in Ayr are quite good, and there is also a company in irvine called Freeline Design, both do really good quality and workmanship is excellent. Don't know whether sourcing your own products and paying someone to fit is any easier, but checking out companies like William Wilson etc can get you excellent levels of products(bath/sink/loo) and you just need a fitter at that point. Can also recommend another fitter that I just used for my kitchen, but don't think we're 'allowed' to recomend publicly on the forum? Not sure? Thanks to all the competition posters.0
