Pins and needles..

I'm not sure but hoping someone will know what this is.
Basically i get pins and needles in my left hand.it runs up that arm, over my body and my face then down the right arm. My arn and hand are very hard to use and i can hardly feel anything, my body goes all limp like you get with pins and needles and my face feels awful. There is no particular reason or time this happens but is getting more common. I feel sick and light headed, dizzy and just not with it most of the time and really really tired.
I rung NHS who called me back at 2am and havent had since last sunday until this morning which was the most noticeable. I went to the docs who did an ecg which was fine as ide has ide had some pains in my chest. I feel sick most of the time but haven't been.
Going to book docs again when open but wondered if anyone knew what it could be? I'm 33 female by the way
Thanks

This could be a number of things but it's against forum rules to ask for medical advice, and for something like this you could get a lot of people with similar symptoms all with different causes to yours. Given that it's not just pins and needles but you have other symptoms too, you really should let the doctor be the one to advise you on this. However well meaning the rest of us could be, we could say things that are highly inappropriate0

If you're worried in the meantime, call NHS Direct again.0

Have you looked at the NHS site - https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/Pins-and-needles/Pages/Introduction.aspx0 -
i noticed an increase in pins & needles more - when i handle cold water - especially during winter if i suddenly used the cold water instead of warm and during summer if i handled cold ice blocks etc.
but if it is going beyond your arm -you really should see doctor - it could be sciatica related - or pressure coming from your vertebrates in your spine putting pressure on nerves. - this is serious0 -

My point exactly about asking on here...there are some things which mean it could be serious (though hopefully as you've seen a doc he/she will have checked things like that). But equally it could be down to many other things including hormonal or drug reactions. Answers on here could scare you unnecessarily or make you think it's fine when it isn't. We don't know, even those of us with some kind of medical background can't possibly make a diagnosis on here
This forum really isn't the place you should be asking, and it is against the rules anyway!0 -
Well pins and needles is generally a circulation issue, but as to whats causing it, it could be anything from a trapped nerve to a heart related issue, its really not even possible for a medical expert to suggest on here let alone one of us so I'd stick with going to the doctor for a more precise result and perhaps ruling out anything else. I think the fact the ECG came back fine is a relief though as it rules out quite a lot.
Maybe try to keep a few notes on what and when things have happened and also to ask if there is anything the doctor could advise or prescribe to get some sort of a relief from whats happening. There is always A&E if it feels a bit too immediate and your worried about fainting and so on.0
