  • How are you getting on with the PPI forms? How did you decide which company to go with and are you allowed to say which?
  • RingtheChanges I haven't got very far I am afraid. I have the forms but have yet to fill them in. i went for a company that advertised on the local radio and have a local office. They still charge a fairly high fee (23%) but that is around what most companys charge. Could do it on my own but thought against it.

    Feeling much better today :j:j:j:j

Dinner is in the SC, braised beef will have it with veg and mashed potatoes.

Kitchen is tidy I have even done the breakfast dishes :j:j
Drying yesterdays washing in the TD then will put another load in the WM.

Living room is tidy as well :j:j

The small pile of ironing still needs done though  but OH said he will do it :j:j:j:j

So all in all feeling pretty good so far. I managed one application yesterday and have another to do today. I am not going to do much else today though as I don't want to end up in pain again.

Wont be a NSD as OH is picking up the few bits on my shopping list a few post back.

Edited to add I need to strip the whole chicken I cooked yesterday for sandwiches and some chicken stir fry portions.

After that I am treating myself to a bacon sandwich :)

  • Hi. Just caught up. I was watching superscrimpers tonight and a guy had used a company for his PPI and ended up with a bill for £900 . The company had looked at his savings over the whole period of his loan which still had time to run and took their percentage from the whole savings. Just be careful xx

  • Hi MIT

Thanks for the info. I know of someone who got hit with a bill of £800 after using a PPI company, she assumed that the company had taken their fee before she got her chq even though the chq came through from the bank direct, spent the money and didn't have £800 to pay. OH won't get round to do this PPI claim on our own and there is an added complication that the company no longer exist though they were under written by a large bank so it will be them we claim off. Will hurt if we win to pay a large % to a company but better than nothing, though i do think people need to be aware of the large fees charged so they go into it with their eyes openend.

Work today so not long in and I am shattered. Family have all had their dinner but I didn't fancy anything. Need to go and update my food list.

Need petrol today as well, was half sleeping dirving home I passed 2 petrol stations and forgot to go in despite my light being on.

  • Another shift done and now off till monday:j
Spent £15 in icel*nd today and took £10 cash and bought my lunch today as I was too tired last night and slept in this morning so no time to make my lunch. I was a bit annoyed though as I bought some nice rolls from M*S the other day and was enjoying taking them to work. Anyway not to worry I don't do it very often.

Have done 2 loads in the WM since I got home and dinner was pizza and curly fries. The pizza were in the freezer already and I bought the curly fries today. Need to update my list and tomorrow I shall do another stock take and do a new list for the week ahead.

Oh and I also spent £14 on an Organised M*ms diary. In my defense this is to help me get more organised :)

Yesterday I didn't do anythign as we went to a friends house for coffee and stayed all day and had dinner there.

House is in not to bad a shape but my washing basket is over flowing, so plan today is to get as many washings done as possible.

Going to do a list for today and see how much I can do.

Do washings - 4th load in wash in Machine, 1st Load dry and away, 2nd Load on the line, 3rd in the TD (small ironing pile started)
    [STRIKE]Clean Bathroom[/STRIKE]
    Clean Fridge
Get Kids to sort their clothes/bags for school tomorrow
    Start sorting through paperwork
[STRIKE]Make a list of all the food in the house again [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Start sorting out what the family needs for winter.[/STRIKE]

Should be a NSD but will need to wait till I have done my food list. I am hoping I have enough to last till tomorrow as really CBA going to the shops today.

    Right best get cracking.
