Interview offer - not sure about

So I recently posted about being offered a position if the NHS Trust / hospital could get 2 more positions signed off. Well they got back to me quickly to say they couldn't but would like me to interview for another position. All they said was it was on the care of the elderly wards.

Right I currently work on an elderly ward as band 2 and was looking for something different but this position is local and would save me around £10-15 a month in travel and only take me 30 mins to get to instead of the current 1 hr. Should I go to the interview? Should I wait for more information on the position? I am currently applying for band 3 positions at my current trust also.
