Anybody DFW'S Currently Pregnant?

I'm not sure where to post this but I only want it to be available for DFW's IYKWIM so if any of you are pregnant and are in a need of a pram I have one that I am willing to give away for free,

I have looked at them selling on E-Bay and they seem to go for so little that I thought I would like to give it to some deserving person rather than sell it for peanuts. I have had so much support from this site that I feel I want to give something back and this is such a little thing I can do. There is no catch - somebody can have it for free. I know a lot of people like new prams but the offers there if you want it.

Its a Mamas and Papas pram that turns into a pushchair and is suitable for sleeping in too. Its black and red, has an apron, safety mattress, parasol, raincover and is in immaculate condition, it has only been out of the house 4 times and that was in May. Its been stuck in the loft since and its such a shame because its a lovely pram. It was bought in January 2006 and cost approx £450 so it would make somebody happy I would think. My Dad bought it for us and would be happy to know it was going to a good home.

Obviously you would have to pick it up - I live in West Yorkshire - for obvious reasons I dont want to give my exact details so if you would like it send me a PM or if you would like to have a look at it I can send you photos (when hubby gets home as I dont know how to do it :rotfl: )

Its not charity - I just know how expensive babies can be so please somebody take me up on my offer :j

  • Oh that's such a lovely thing to do! I'm currently pregnant with baby #5, my first girl so I know how expensive children can be definately!

I can probably afford a pram, but I hope you find someone who would really appreciate it - especially one that's been used so little and is worth so much!

That's such a lovely offer Weller - I'm pregnant at the moment (did I mention that???) :rotfl:, AND I'm in West Yorkshire....but unfortunately (well, fortunately, I suppose), my Mum & Dad have just bought me one.

Hope you manage to find someone that needs one though, it sounds like a fantastic offer....what a nice bunch DFW's are!!

I would love to take you up on your very kind offer if it's still open Weller. But I'd have to ask my mum if we have anyone in Yorkshire first. Would that be okay?

Forgot to say who I am! Currently 30 weeks and after a rough start to the pregnancy, we're both healthy now. Just started on a DMP with the CCCS, but trying to be positive in the face of £26,000 worth of debt!
  • Its a lovely thought. I find boot fairs are great places to pick up baby things and charity shops, they get that many baby clothes that you can pick things up for 50p. I got a snowsuit for £2, much better than the £45 I paid for my eldest childs.
I'm very broody at the moment even thinking about another baby next year. Its a lot to think about.

    I'm 30 weeks pregnant too - congratulations!

Sorry to hear you had a rough start to the pregnancy, but glad to hear you are both doing well now.

Well done for staying positive. At least you have sorted out the DMP before you have the baby, so you wont have creditors bombarding you with phone calls when you are trying to change nappies.

Just don't dare give birth before me lol! :rotfl:

Well, my due date is tomorrow with daughter number four!!!! And I live in Berkshire - a little too far to travel!

And having to declare BR, but put it off for so long (coward, basically) but need to get it done sooner rather than later!

    A very nice offer though.

However, you are not actually permittted to offer anything on this forum - swap/free/for sale, so please do not be offended if a BG comes along and deletes the thread.

Oh, congratulations, and good luck for tomorrow (or whenever she decides to arrive...but I hope you're not kept waiting too long).
