From 29th March to 9th May, you can trade-in your old vacuum cleaner of any make and save up to 20% on a brand new Dyson upright or cylinder vacuum cleaner. It’s their first ever campaign to run nationwide at participating retailers and on the Dyson website. Trade-in at Dyson.co.uk and they'll pick up your old machine when they drop off your new one.
"Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."

thanks i can see it on the website but cant see where to find out of stores to do this in as it might be cheaper than on their site?0

Comet is definitely doing this and I think Currys as well - details are on their websites.
We went to Comet and handed over our old vacuum cleaner which had blown up at the weekend! It worked out £8 more expensive for the one we got than going direct to Dyson but avoided the hassle of having to stay home for delivery/collection.0 -
just seen over on hukd that tesco are doing this too0

We did this at Comet last weekend and the discounts varied from 40% to 20% depending on the model you were going for. The Comet we went to didn't want our old Hoover as they had already run out of space and the promotion had only been going a few days. So that said we got a lovely new Dyson and have hung on to our old Hoover (which is still working) as a spare.0

I got this in a newsletter from them today0

Seriously, though..........why not ditch Dyson's legendary unreliability and cheap plastic in favour of a Miele?
Far better machines, far more reliable, and no more expensive. The only downside is the cost of the bags, but it's a small price to pay for a quality machine that doesn't keep breaking down.0 -

I think you may need to back this up. A defamatory statement if I ever saw one, in my opinion. Ahoy there Dyson's lawyers.0
