Council Tax - should I forget it??

My OH bought the house we now live in in Sept 2002, the mortgage company valued it to be £95,000. I have compared this with the prices in Q2 1991, and it calculates it to £47,503.
We are paying Band C now, but this values properties to be above £52,000 in April 1991.
I have sent an appeal letter, and received one back this morning saying they are satisfied that at the time it lay between the range of £52,00 and £68,000 and that the current band is correct. Also that I have no right of appeal.
Should I just give this up as a bad job?

How did you compare the prices?
Which band are similar houses IN YOUR STREET in?0 -
Hi - I used the online comparison site (cant remember what its called) and put in the valuation price of my property when it was valued for mortgage purposes.
Other houses in our street are worth more than ours - we do not have double glazing or an extension like the majority.
Does this make any difference?0 -
Sorry to bump my own post - but does anyone have any thoughts on whether it is worth me continuing with this?
Thanks0
