Hi,
Wonder if anyone can offer any help/advice please. My sister has found a place to buy costing around £150,000 and she has approx. £50,000 savings (money from sale of old house) to put in, so needs £100K mortgage.
She is taking advice from a broker on a mortgage and I've advised her to also try London & Country too as they are recommended here.
Pls does anyone know of any other lenders she could approach who are offering direct deals to customers and not via brokers?
Also, the house has a restriction on the title saying it can only be re-sold to long term residents of the area (as it is in an area where a lot of people buy second homes) and NatWest who she was previously going to use apparently won't lend where there is this type of restriction (according to the broker) - pls does anyone know if this is right and if so any lenders who aren't so strict?
Many thx in advance.

Try a local building society. They'll be far more likely to adopt a policy of this kind themselves as to who they'll lend to.0 -
Hi
Many thanks Thrugelmir, that is good advice.
Re the post before, thank you - she will take the broker's advice but in case there are deals the broker can't access (because they are not being offered via brokers, which I think has become more common) she'd like to ensure she isn't missing out on a deal which might suit her better financially.
When I last spoke to London & Country on my own mortgage a few months back they were actually upfront and said that it would be wise to check with X or Y lenders as they were offering deals they could not access.0
