Right to Buy Additional Borrowing - Help!

The Halifax have informed me that we can only have additional borrowing for debt consilidation after 4yrs and not 3yrs, even though our paperwork from the council when we bought our house 3yrs ago states that that we would only be tied in to pay any discount back if selling within 3yrs. Can we remortgage with another lender with additional lending for debt consilidation, does anybody know!

Yes you can remortgage for more after the 3 year period but you may have a tie in with the halifax that takes you up to the 4 year.0
