Omnius are offering their usually paid for services for free over the four day Easter weekend. This is Windows software, so not for Linux or Mac users I'm afraid.

I've done this to unlock my Sony Ericsson C905 from being locked to Orange SIMs, just using this software and the USB cable that came with the phone.
What you do:
- Register with the Omnius web site
- Download & install the software
- Launch the software
- On the Server menu click "Server Settings" and enter your username / password that you registered with at step 1.
- Go to Actions menu
- Pick your phone
- Click the Unlock button
- Click "Unlock network lock by patch"
- Follow the on screen instructions.
It will do many more things than unlocking - like allowing you to flash alternative firmware to unbrand your mobile, but I've not investigated that myself.
Hope it's of use to someone :j

I've never used it before, and have no association with it at all - I found it mentioned on a Sony Ericsson related Blog yesterday : http://blog.se-nse.net/omnius-promo-all-services-free-from-6-april-to-9-april
Registering requires you to confirm your email address, had it asked for postal address / card details / inside leg measurements I would not have touched it myself.
I've managed to unlock my C905 from Orange, and a O2 SIM now works fine in it - so as far as I can tell, it's done exactly what it says it's going to, so I'm a happy customer0 -
As Martin would say "if it seems too good to be true, then it probably is"
I took a chance and downloaded and registered, but i dont work at all. dont seem to do !!!!!! all (excuse the french)0 -
