Friday 6th April - What Small DFW Things Will You Do Today??

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:
As it's Good Friday, and most of you have the day off (I don't...boooo), I thought I'd get us started today.
So, my plans for today are:
- Check Dutch banking
- Get as up to date with work as possible
- Clothes wash
- Dishes wash
- Lunch from stores (have it with me)
- Dinner from stores
[STRIKE]
- Breakfast from stores
[/STRIKE]
- LSD/NSD
- Check Hotmail for response from Experian
- Don't forget important call at 2pm!!!
- Try not to let the stress get to me (easier said than done)
OK, I am sure there is more I need to do, but can't think of it right now.
Have a good day all!

Thanks for the thread euronorris and sorry you haven't got the day off.
Just returned from rare breeds farm with kids but:- Hung out washing before we left.
- Took DH car as it'sromre economical.
- Walked from cheap (or cheep as it's Easter!) car park rather than park nearby.
- Took a picnic.
- Refused to buy the kids an ice cream (evil parents that we are).
- DH did get paid the extra money (phew) so half of that went straight into tax savings.
- Paid £20 to cc.
- Going round to friends tonight for girly catchup. She has loads of wine left from previous nights in so am taking malteasers from £ shop!
- Chicken curry tonight, leftovers part 1 from last night's 'roast'.

Today I used my bit of spare time to:
*Check my bank accounts
*Send off an invoice (I am a freelance writer, it wasn't for a lot of money but every little helps!)
*Sort the recycling
*I Applied for two full-time jobs
*I also searched for a cheaper combination train ticket to see my boyfriend instead of opting for the easier but CRUSHINGLY expensive "open return"
*Put my unwanted DVDs on Music Magpie (made £15
)
*Use up my leftovers instead of getting a friday night takeaway
(BTW - this time the combo train ticket saved me around £22. Okay so I don't get to arrive at a very appropriate time, but it's better than nothing or *shudder* the 6 hour megabus)Goal: Debt-free by 01.12.16
