HSBC Mortgage

Against most the HSBC mortgage threads on this forum I would like to say that I have just moved into my new property after applying for my HSBC mortgage at the start of March. (Mortgage completed today).
I used my own solicitor (which I had to pay a small fee to HSBC to do) and they used Warners in Edinburgh to carry out there conveyancing (property is in Scotland) who were passed my mortgage only 2 weeks ago.
Overall very happy with the service received at HSBC.

I've been eith HSBC for just over two years, switching to their lifetime tracker in Feb when my 2 year discount ended.
I can't fault them and we certainly had some complications when I was trying to make the purchase.
(I am not Mrs HSBC - just a genuine, contented customer).0 -
I can echo the positive experiences too. Completed a couple of weeks ago with a HSBC mortgage. No problems at all.0

Its good to hear there are some positive experiences out there, as I have lost absolute faith in there underwriting..
And the conveyancing is a whole new ball game...I am a Mortgage Broker

And there you were trying to be clever...
I used to recommend them when appropriate on an "independent basis" although to be honest given the lack of clarity around their criteria and there flagrant abuse of their conveyancing position I have done this less often, unless the client is already within the HSBC group and is best advice.I am a Mortgage Broker
