Nationwide ftb

Hello
My broker today applied for an aip with nationwide. I have no debts, looking to borrow 103k with 13k deposit.

It came back as a referral, questioning my address. We sent over my poll card, driving licence, bank statement to address this.

Broker called them and they mentioned two missed payments just over a year ago. Basically direct debit date changed, missed payment, set up new date this didn't happen. Payments then brought up to date.

My broker thinks there should be no problem, as affordability is fine(calculator offered 156k).

Would anyone have any thoughts on it?

Many thanks in advance

unless someone works in the mortgage department at Nationwide sees this there is no point speculating. Your credit isnt good enough for a straight pass, but its not so bad that they definately dont want you. Just have to wait it out until tuesday. Good luck

  • Many thanks. I will sit tight! I could kick myself for those late payments, just hoping that all my other payment history will help sway it, and having no debts.

If not, it's not the end of the world. I can hang on and build up bigger deposit for 12 months.

Thanks again, this forum is a wonderful place, especially with people willing to offer up advice, help and support.
