Alternative to deep-frying

Hi there,

I am currently following a 1,500 calorie diet to try to lose a bit of weight. No fads, just good home-cooked food with plenty of veg etc.

My one point of stress is that OH and I cook a lot of SE Asian and Indian food including HM snacks like spring rolls, samosas etc.

Obviously these are now totally out due to the high calorie count of oil- does anyone know if there is a way of cooking these in the oven as the spring roll wrappers we buy don't say so. If so, will they taste the same as will never persuade OH otherwise....

Also, does anyone make authentic SE Asian food without coconut milk as this also seems v high in fat and thus to be avoided on a regular basis...:(
