Can I become self employed?

Hi folks,
I was thinking of becoming self employed and starting a business from home but not sure if I'm allowed yet? I'm an undischarged bankrupt, I live in Scotland and became bankrupt last June. Is it right that I have to wait til I'm discharged? Not able to find much info on it all!
