Anyone used any good sites for photo books? There are so many. I want decent quality, easy to use system, that produces a good quality hardback photo book for a gift that I can put text in as well.
I know OF the websites that offer them, but I'd like to hear personal recommendations from people who have used them.
Thanks!

Another vote for Photobox here. I made a 50 page album for my Mum's birthday, with lot's of photos in it. Although it took quite a while to put together it was a good website to use and I was really pleased with how it turned out. It was delivered within 4 working days.
Give yourself plenty of time to make it though.0 -
How funny - I've just spent a pleasent hour or two on Kodak Gallery creating a photo book!
Very easy to use - haven't compared prices around though but seemed reasonable0 -
Thank you for the responses. Photobox was top of my list as I have had other photo items from them and they were great quality. Did either of you have text included on the pages?
Sezzagirl - would be interested in finding out the quality of the book. Any particular reason why you chose Kodak?Sealed Pot Challenge 2013 #1947 (open the pot on 28th November 2013!)

Hi gardenia82, yes I included text on nearly every page. Quite easy to do and you can choose different colours, fonts, sizing etc for the text.
They've got an offer on for their photobooks at the moment. You buy the credit and then have 2 weeks to create the book.

I have used photobox and truprint/snapfish many times. I tend to make & save my photobooks till there is a special offer to buy it. Both have special offers atm, register & sign up for the emails. Photobox often do a discount voucher that you buy, that then gives you so many months before you have to use it.
The quality is much the same, but I find snapfish/truprint much easier to use and you have more options than photobox. (only the covers are different, one does leather look the other linen) I really like the magic page feature. You just drag the photos that you want onto the page (no having to choose layout first) then click & the computer will jumble the layout, keep clicking till you are happy with the page.
My only problem with both is that they have a tendency to crash when I use Firefox, but I have no problems when using internet explorer0 -
Hi
I have used Snapfish a few times for photo books. Quite easy to use once you get started and lots of different options for personalisation. Also, usually once you register with them, they send regular special offer codes for picture prints, gifts and photo books too. I've had one come through over the weekend but looks like I deleted it. I also got one through the Good to Know website.

When I design a photo book I prefer to use a site that provides free client software (e.g. CEWE), as adding many pictures in an online session (e.g. Photobox) is very time consuming and frustrating. This photo book comparison tests two such applications.0
