    having accounts with the best rates is a great feeling! And knowing that you're getting a fair deal on other compulsories is also wonderful!

    Well done for paying a chunk off the mortgage. Although it's definitely good to have enough for a rainy day, on the flip side, if ever things took a turn for the worse, it is nice to know that your minimum mortgage commitment would then be less.
