got an email from the office of fair trading. they said i'm unlikely to get a refund. They said i did have a chance of claiming it back if i claim they took it fraudulently, which really they did as the agreement was cancelled. I guess i'm going to have to wait for the letter of administration and take it to the bank!0

I was ripped off £305 in Feb 2007 (using Visa Electron) and didn't no about chargebacks until just the other day from reading this forum. Halifax couldn't do anything as it was too long ago. Is there any hope? Is there anything I can do?
Also, I don't use the account with Halifax anymore. If in the future I was eligible for a refund, would it have to be refunded to the account it came from or would they be able to pay into a different account or by cheque? Just I really would prefer to close that account.0 -

The company went bust 3 years ago, i very much doubt there's any chance of getting money back now anyway.0
