Help! Dealing with DCA's on the phone?

Robinson Way DCA just called asking for DH and they want him to call them when he gets home from work. DH was going to write the standard letter asking for the credit agreement etc tonight to send tomorrow but now they want him to call them.
What should he do? Should he call them or just send the letter and not call?
Any advice would be appreciated!

You could request on the phone that the DCA send the original credit agreement but I doubt that they will listen. Probably best to put it in writing and to send it Recorded Delivery0

Let them call. Tell them that you will pass on the message (never say, I will get him to call).
And repeat. They will probably call lots now that they have started. Do you have caller display?? Can you get it? You can ignore them then.
Send the letter as you would do anyway (Recorded as Shameless mentioned) and worry about something else instead!

Hi, Do not speak to them on the phone no matter what. Send your letter off recorded delivery and see what they come back with. But please do not speak to them. And do not acknowledge any debt to them in your letter. Is this a debt you actually know about.Night Owl Member No 1 :rotfl: :rotfl:

oh my lord. Just read your signature. Yes ok just send the letter and wait. Bet is they will not have the paperwork. And hopefully they will be in default by not providing it. As well as asking for credit agreement ask for the deed of assignment if they have bought the debt. Who was the original creditor. I have been going through the same thing with a DCA. They have not provided the goods as it were and they have passed it back to original creditor. These DCAs are apt to pile extra costs and charges and interest onto debt. And not nice people to deal with. I do not like sending people away from this site but have a look at the CAG forums. Tons on there about this subject. Helped me out no end. Good luck hun. xxxxNight Owl Member No 1 :rotfl: :rotfl:
