Newtownards:half day?

Hi, can anyone tell me which day Newtownards traditionally closed for a half day?
An odd question but it would help to solve a mystery about when someone was born.
Either the day in family folklore is wrong or the date on the birth cert. is incorrect!
Thanks.

I personally thought it was a Wednesday? Although that was in Comber where I grew up (but it's like 4 miles from Ards) however I could be wrong that Ards follows the same as Comber.....
