Tasty/cheap cakes and snacks?

I love baking cranberry and dark choc chip loaf cake (you make muffins with the same mix too!) I havent made it for a while, but some cheap sweetened cranberries taste delicious with the dark choc. It's dead simple and really doesnt cost much to make. Just google the recipe. I always find it worked out best using those silicone baking thingys.May Grocery Challenge : 64.81 so far

Must admit that I visit a really nice coffee shop - they sell the most divine carrot cake, they also sell chocolate guiness cake and red velvet cake (all made by a local chap). They have ciabatta rolls (the bread being made by the same chap that makes the cakes) and they are usually filled with black forest ham and possibly other meats from a local deli. I noticed that they also sell flapjacks and biscuits (all homemade).
They play nice music in the shop and have a space downstairs that they hire out to local artists and photographers from time to time so that they have a meet up with proper coffee and cake and they can display their wares on the wall.
When I visit the coffee shop I always ask for Carrot cake and am disappointed when it has been sold out. The carrot cake contains yummy delights such as apricots, pecan nuts, carrots etc and has an orangey yoghurt frosting. A slice of cake costs about £2.50 but it is worth it.0
