Has anyone had the chance to test if the batteries offer has ended this morning, I feel like I could do with a good DTD :)
  • Yaaar yea scurvy crew.

The early morning boarding party are reporting that the Mr T. stores have removed the instore promotion SEL and are now only showing the conservative £4.00 price with no special treasures.

However upon further probing the boarding party report that even now the special treasure of £6 off are still in place when passed through the Mr T. security checkpoint.

Cap'n GlitchHunter thinks this may well be the last day of this glitch so has filled up his swag bag with mucho gold, he suggests you do same if so inclined.

    Morning (again!)

Love the animal pics and love the BOGOF advice...

I always loved looking at how the animals have different eyes- and could never get to grips with sheep and their rectangular pupils.

think I will be eating soup for the next few days- I broke a wisdom tooth yesterday and am off to the dentist in a bit.
:( ... at least he could see me today. *gulp*

Good morning all ... sounds like we've all got a grey and miserable day ... quite a regular occurance in M/cr

Well yesterday evening, with the help of MOCs and a JTD I got a £10.xx shop down to £1.57 :T The African SA said with a big smile "Those who plan their shopping get bargains!" I replied that you do if you eat whatever you have a coupon for and she replied that she'd see a lot of that in America but not here (she hasn't served me before :D)

Totally OT ... does anyone have experience of hosting or running a "pop-up" shop? You know the table top of books and gifts left in offices and reception areas?

I work for myself and haven't had proper client/project for over a year and so haven't been able to pay myself ... and so after an episode of the Apprentice last year I thought I'd change my line of business ... and now I'm thinking I may try doing a "pop-up". Edit: Set up on Monday and leave it for a week, collect order forms on Friday and deliver goods on Wednesday.

I have loads of stock to sell (hand made tutus, personalised gift boxes and other bits and costume jewellery, pirate bandanas, childrens party stuff and hair accessories bought from wholsalers) ... I started trying it via eBay but was making pennies after ebay and P&P costs.

After a chat with one wholesaler who called me "a busy fool" I kind of gave up ... but dispite really low grocery spends I need to do something and so I thought "pop-up"! But have no experience. I'm thinking I need order forms and T&Cs and some kind of fee to pay to whoever hosts the table ... but how much? So I thought maybe somebody on here might be able to advixe me or point me in the right direction. :o xxxx

    BTW Yesterday's A wombles has just produced a £1.47 voucher :T

  • Flying visit again! Evening elite :D

Gave the whoopsie run a wide berth tonight, christ almighty they unleashed the vultures. Poor reduction bloke ended up taking the stuff through the back to price, and I know this is quiet common in most places but us up north are usually quiet civil ;):p Bloody shocking stuff.

Managed to bag some febreeze refill plug in thingies for 29p old xmas stock. IIRC apple and holly.

Oh and the price flops are instore sneckie posters and lurkers. R*tail and I*$hes

Was this in the newest store by any chance?
The last couple of times I've been it's been like that, so I haven't bothered going for a couple of weeks...

    Morning all :)

Have woken up all bunged up and feeling a bit yucky. It's amazing how you can go to bed able to breathe properly and when you wake up a few hours later you can't! :rotfl:

Off to T's in a wee while, going to pick up the rest of the knives today and get a couple of bits and bobs. Still no space in freezer so shall have to avoid the Simply Add.

Hope everyone has a good day :D

    Morning
Yes it is another grey wet miserable day in Mc/r.
Good luck Lala at the consultants. French Knickers I love your pictures and hope you feel better today. I love all the animal pictures thank you everyone for posting them. I need to find my camera lead.
Dcon-Blue have you tried seeing if you can have a table at local mum's and tots groups? My Auntie did it and made quite a bit. Also rent a table at school summer fairs. I'll have a think of what else she does.
Hope everyone has a great day and for those that want/need one have a hug.
