I'm so glad your Mums news is as positive as it can be just now ChelseaGirl, I am thinking of you......
I shouldn't say too much as my Mum has said don't tell anyone at the moment,... not until treatment starts and they have to know, but your mum and mine are going through pretty much the same thing. :( This is the first I have said about it to anyone.
My Mum had a biopsy week before last, which confirmed what she was dreading, a scan last week, and another to be done this friday that I am taking her to. Apparently it's not as bad as could be possible, and there is treatment for her, but it will alomst definetly be chemo and radio therapy over 5 weeks..... She is in her 70's, but pretty strong for her age and doing very well considering she had a pretty major stroke a couple of years ago. No one would think she has what she has lurking inside her, but we all have to think positive...... We just have to hope her strength pulls her through the treatment.
Its a good job I have picked myself up over the last couple of months of dealing with mine and my DS personal issues, as being my Mums carer along with my Dad, and with help from one of my sisters, I can see I am going to have to find some extra strength.
Elsie, lots of ((hugs)) to you - it's brave of you to tell us and sometimes talking can make things easier for you. Wishing you and your mum strength and hope for the future.
