Me too had two seizures in January so not allowed to drive. Oh well better than knocking someone over if I had another seizure.
Bananababe, sorry for your seizures but better to be safe than sorry (I have epilepsy so have had the not driving for a year). Dependent on where you live, you can apply for free/discounted travel for the year of your self imposed non driving.. I got free London tube travel. You can also get a disability rail card (a third off) but you have to pay for that. Epilepsy.org is a good website if that is the route you want to go down
I'm off bathing my 2 yr old but will be back later if you want to PM me

Hi Mr3dogs, So lovely to see a post from you, my flipping armsling is wet from tears after reading it;) The way you are coping is amazing and you just remind me so much of my dad, he organised everything with my mum, right down to telling her where she had to put the salt in the dishwasher.
But really, you and Susan are inspirational, I love that you've put on a bit of weight and that you take every day as it comes and try to get out most days. So pleased that you have got a good macmillan nurse too, they truly are angels:)
    Lots of love xxx

Thanks Tiger. I have my bus pass and I get good use out of it going to college. I was seizure free for ten years and was able to drive again. I guess a lot of stress around xmas time triggered something. I stopped driving immediately. Last time it took around 18 months to settle so hopefully be ok.

I stopped immediately as I could not have lived with myself if I hurt someone.

There seems to be a few of us around, Two of my colleagues too.
We don't socialise much but maybe we should , be some party if we all went down !! :rotfl:

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

Mr & Mrs 3Dogs. I am in awe. You are both an absolute inspiration.

I am going through terribly tough times with my mum. She has been diagnosed with secondary cancer, and I have got to have an MRI scan because of problems of my own.

I'm not a brave person and know that I'll struggle but hope that, in the coming months, I will be able to show even a tiny bit of the courage you have both shown already.

I just want to send you my warmest good wishes. xx
