tell your mum i think she is a kind and lovely lady

i got the pattern from the loving hands charity knitting website (if your mum or you go in the knit a square thread on here there is a link to the LH website) it was designed by a lovely lady who used to post on there and MSE, she sadly passed away recently. its like a little capped sleeve cardi that you knit all in one. you start at the neck edge and work down to the waist casting off stitches to form the armholes as you go so the only sewing is darning the ends in and putting buttons on. they look really pretty.
ive been doing 'good cause' knitting for ages now but prem things are special to my heart at the moment as my brother and his partner had twins last sept who were 3 months early one came home at christmas but the weaker one is still fighting in hospital and having countless operations in her struggle to survive.

Fingers crossed your niece can come home soon x I had 2 nephews born prem, 1 at 26 weeks, he fought on for 11 days but sadly caught an infection and couldnt fight it, and the other at 22 or 24 weeks, almost a year to the day after his big brother was born in the same circumstances, sadly he didnt make it either. I bought them both a prem babygro from some website that I cant remember the name of, and i kept one of them, and it is sooooo tiny. People dont realise what a fantastic job NICU do until they see it for themselves.

Oh no  I need a wee bit of comfort! ;)

I have the double height airbed, sleeping bag on the bottom as a sheet and a duvet on top, along with my pillows :rotfl: I also have one of those portable charger things that has plug sockets on it for hair purposes.
