Financial Advice Bill - Can I Claim Back?

Sucessfully claimed compensation for a mis-sold endowment mortgage last year. Paid £250 to financial advisor to help me to do this, also arranged re-mortage deal with another company. He did advise us to submit a letter to building society saying that we may be able to claim his fee back for ourselves from building society as financial ruling body states that no-one should be out of pocket having had to seek financial advice because of mis-sold policy. He even upped the receipt to £350 for us to use as evidence. I made telephone contact but I struggled with what I could quote verbally my argument for reason of claim. Can anybody advise me what the general rule is - am a little embarrassed to go and ask him again after so long an interval - yet the money could be there for us to claim rightly. sorry so long winded - that's how I am!!! Any pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

From the fact that you are fraudulently claiming £350 when you very clearly only paid £250 would say to me that No you should not be entitled to this money back purely out of principle.
Fairs far, you are commiting Fraud, surprised you had the audacity to admit on a public forum that fact.I am an independent Mortgage Adviser And a Compliance Director:eek:
