first direct maybe

i have two properties, one my name only (which i live in) and the other in joint name with my brother (which he lives in) his mortgage is interest only with nram paying 580 month on 135k. My brother has recently had alot of health problems and has been accepted for sheltered housing. I am in the process of renting my flat and will move into his flat once he moves. The monthly payment is quite high for me. I have savings of 30k and was wondering if I would be better off switching to first direct (if they would accept me) the offset product. Would it give me a more affordable monthly rate.

many thanks

There isnt enough information here for us to give a real answer.
If NR is too expensive on interest only, you will find it very difficult to transfer elsewhere on Interest only terms - you will end up having to transfer to a repayment mortgage, you could probably get a lower rate but would you be able to afford a repayment mortgage?
