Noddle

Hi all, just a quick query regarding noddle.

I've used experian and equifax before and don't want to re-activate using the £15 per month way. So i used noddle and my question relates to 'date updated'

I have 2 debts that i'm sure drop off in the next 1-3 years after looking at credit expert last time. These 2 debts have the dates of being updated as 1/3/2012 and 4/2/2012 with default next to them.
This isn't the dates of default i know but just wondering what these dates relate to and hope to god it isn't the start of the 6 year cycle again :eek:I've had no contact with any DCA's for ages......can someone explain?

Why will they drop off? do these accounts have defaults on them?

A defaulted account will be updated over that period of time, either to show that the balance owed is reducing, or increasing, or for the creditor to update that the account is still in arrears.

If the defaulted debt is fully paid then usually there would be no further updates and no changes to the date last updated.

If there is a default date then the record will be removed 6years from the date of the default.

If there is no default date then the record will be removed 6years from when it is marked as settled.

Yes, the 2 accounts are in default and the default dates are from 2007 and 2009. I haven't paid them at all since these dates. I was just wondering why the dates of being updated keep changing as no payments are being made, nor any charges being added

The current "D"s will just be monthly status updates.

i.e. the creditor reporting that the account is defaulted and still unsettled.

Perfectly normal, and won't stop the account falling off the record 6 years from the initial default date.
