My current ways are....
Although I transfer £300 pcm automatically to my main savings account, I put all my overtime money into an instant access savings account and transfer it once a year (every september, birthday). only ever live on my basic net wage.
I am thinking of joining an agency or getting a flexible second job in october which all money from will again go into the instant account and transferred once a year.
My gas and electric is paid my direct debit. So when my roommates give me their share of bills I put it straight into one of those teramundi pots, again cashed in once a year.
Last but not least, I am paid on the 28th of every month (or day b4 incase of weekends). So anything left the day before my payday I put straight into savings (not sure if putting this in instant or str8 to main not yet decided)

there are different ways of saving money that work for different people. i put £1.0 coins into a tub everyday at least one and once it is above a certain amout it goes into my savings i also put whatever money i have left in my account before i get paid into saving and any change from my purse no matter what it is goes into my coke bottle until it is full.:santa2: :rudolf:
