Ways to save money/boost your savings. Share your idea's please :)

My current ways are....

Although I transfer £300 pcm automatically to my main savings account, I put all my overtime money into an instant access savings account and transfer it once a year (every september, birthday). only ever live on my basic net wage.

I am thinking of joining an agency or getting a flexible second job in october which all money from will again go into the instant account and transferred once a year.

My gas and electric is paid my direct debit. So when my roommates give me their share of bills I put it straight into one of those teramundi pots, again cashed in once a year.

Last but not least, I am paid on the 28th of every month (or day b4 incase of weekends). So anything left the day before my payday I put straight into savings (not sure if putting this in instant or str8 to main not yet decided)

I think you will probably get moved over to this forum soon :-) (it's the Up Your Income forum)

Hope you finds lots more ways to save.
Other things you can do are to sign up to cashback sites and go through them for everything you buy, and even for freebies too. I use Topcashback and have earned more than £150 in the past year just by going through them for buying things like insurance, and for some freebies too.
Look out for things at carboot sales, or even charity shops which you know will sell well on ebay. I recently bought a pair of designer, leather men's boots for a £5 and they go on ebay for £20-40.
My neighbour bought a pair of leather biker trousers at a carboot for £2 and sold them on the old ebay for £50!!!

Remember, if you do get a good bargain at a charity shop which earns you a bit of money, it's nice to go back to the charity shop again and put a donation in their pot.....only fair.
Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...
