Finished CELTA: Now what?

Options
As the title says, I have just finished a 6 month CELTA course. I intend to move abroad within the next 1-2 years, hopefully, but want to use what I have learned in the UK first, both for some income and experience.
What is the best way to get started? I live in Luton, so there is a large immigrant community here.
For those of you who have been in a similar situation, how easy is it to get work? I would be happy to work perhaps 5-10 hrs per week at the minute as I have school-aged children.
Is it best to try to tutor privately, or to go to colleges and ask for work?

I live in Bournemouth at the moment where there are a lot of foreign language schools. I finished my CELTA last June alongside my degree and applied to a place called Kings College. Luckily I got an interview and then was offered a job teaching.

I did 20 hours the first week, then 28, then did 40 hours in week 3 and up until I'd been there for 3 months. I had to go back and finish my degree after that (I taught in the summer) but I'm teaching again this summer.

You're most likely to find positions easily in the summer months owing to the influx of foreign students.

    Good Luck! It's exciting.

Thank you. I don't fancy full-time summer jobs, as I have kids who will be on school hols. Most of the job ads do seem to be for summer schools. Maybe if there was something for a couple of weeks before they are on holiday, but I don't really want to wait until then either, as I would be scared that I would have forgotten everything I've learned!!
