I know that are various mortgage deals out there for you if you are a first time buyer, but what if you are a couple where one of you would be buying for the first time and the other has previously held joint mortgages with their former partners?
Hubby's house sale is in the final weeks of paperwork etc before that's finished with and it's got me thinking. We dont wanna be renting forever but I dont know about mortgages and how we would go about it with me being first time and him not? if that makes sense! His credit past with mortgages is A1, no missed payments etc.
Are there mortgages out there that would suit our situation?

Just find the mortgage you want and ask the lender if you can have it.
If your not happy doing this pay an Independent Broker and he will take responsibility for making sure you fit any criteria, not just the FTB/non-FTB bitsI am a Mortgage Adviser
