                    Hello All,
Over the past year or so I've been hiding and ignoring debts, like most people in trouble hoping they would just disappear. But in the real world it just doesn't happen like that.
I got into debt through my own fault, because at the end of the day I took out the debt and took ownership of repaying the debt. Doesn't matter why or what for. Even though it was driven by my ex girlfriend's lavish spending habits before putting priorities first. So i was the one trying to clean up the mess but ended up making it worse.
Most of my debts are those initally really good sounding payday loans. Which to be honest where fine, until you are made redundant and then your ex mrs forces you out of your own home!
However, back in employment and managing my money has put me in a good situation. Talking to the debt collectors who to be honest as long as you are upfront with them have been fine so far. No-one is going to court, or threatening to.
The moral of the story is, no matter how afraid you are. You have got to get your head in gear. The longer you ignore it the worse it gets, take action, have a good read of this site, and be realistic with your money.
This is my 2 pennies worth!
Jesse
Also, may seem ironic. I took out a credit card this year with Vanquis. Helps the credit profile. Had it since Jan, always pay a lot more than the minimum amount and not one single payment missed.
